Gadwal: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has raised serious concerns about unfair practices in choosing who gets homes under the Indiramma housing scheme. Party leaders say the system is being misused, and many truly poor families are being ignored.
According to BRS representatives, people who already own houses are getting new ones under the scheme. They accuse politically connected individuals of adding their supporters to the beneficiary list, while families living in huts or on the streets are being left out.
The BRS claims that the housing scheme, which should help the homeless and low-income families, is being twisted to serve political interests. They say government officials are being pressured to approve names that don’t belong on the list.
To address this issue, BRS leaders submitted a formal complaint to the District Collector. They demanded a full investigation into the selection process. Their message was clear: give homes to those who truly have none.
Nagar Doddi Venkata Ramulu, a senior BRS leader, led the delegation. He was joined by district leaders including Adhika Rehman, Gajula Krishna Reddy, Tower Maqbool, Rafi Marlabidu Maheshwar Reddy, Munnuru Veerareddy, Vagula Thaireddy, Royal Pawan, and L. Raju. Together, they urged officials to ensure that the housing scheme is fair and benefits the right people.
The BRS called for immediate action to correct these irregularities and ensure that future allocations are done transparently. They want the government to focus on those who truly need shelter, not those with political ties.
