Hyderabad: The state government is gearing up to argue for its right to 904 TMC of water from the Krishna River. This effort aims to safeguard the state’s water rights at the Krishna Water Disputes Tribunal (KWDT-2) meeting starting on September 23. State Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy and a team of officials will be present at the hearing in Delhi.
During a high-level meeting, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy emphasized the importance of securing every drop of the state’s rightful share of water, including assured, surplus, and floodwaters. Officials have been tasked with gathering all necessary evidence to support the state’s case. This evidence will be presented to legal experts to build strong and indisputable arguments for the two-day hearing beginning September 23.
