Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has announced that Telangana is ready to develop an AI Hub in the Future City. He invited global tech companies and investors to collaborate with his government to promote their AI technological innovations from Hyderabad.
The Chief Minister made this announcement while inaugurating the two-day Global AI Summit at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) on Thursday. He emphasized the importance of technology and innovation in transforming society. Reddy remarked that significant changes in the world have often been driven by technological advancements, citing examples like the invention of the train, engine, airplane, and electricity.
He further added that the current generation is fortunate to have access to technologies such as television, computers, the internet, and mobile phones, which have greatly benefited society. He said that artificial intelligence (AI) is one of the most important technological innovations today.
While acknowledging that some people may have concerns and uncertainties about new technologies, including fears about job losses, the Chief Minister underscored that this is a common reaction whenever a new technology emerges. He urged everyone to think about the future of India and to embrace the challenges of creating a better future for the next generation.
Revanth Reddy assured that his government is committed to promoting research in AI. He stated that there should be no doubt about the government’s sincerity in leveraging the power of artificial intelligence. The government has already taken several steps to integrate AI in various sectors and is determined to lay a strong foundation for the future of AI in Telangana.
The Chief Minister also mentioned that the Telangana AI Mission (T-AIM), in partnership with NASSCOM, will assist the government in implementing the AI framework in the state. He expressed confidence that Hyderabad will soon become a major hub for AI innovation, as demonstrated by the ongoing Global AI Summit.
