Hyderabad: Seethakka, the Panchayat Raj Minister, has instructed district collectors to prepare for the launch of Solar Plants run by Women Groups on Gandhi Jayanti, October 2.

During a video conference, Minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka emphasized the importance of the Indira Mahila Shakti program, led by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. She urged collectors to aim for empowering one crore women financially. To achieve the Telangana Rising 2047 vision, it’s crucial to support women’s associations. Collectors are tasked with helping these groups establish solar plants and petrol stations, identifying suitable locations promptly.

Agreements with solar installation companies have been finalized for each district, and collectors should coordinate with them to start the solar projects. The construction of Indira Mahila Shakti Bhavans in 22 districts must be finished by November, in collaboration with the Panchayati Raj Engineering Department. Emphasis was placed on the significance of government schools and Anganwadi centers, as many underprivileged children attend these. Improving these facilities is essential for Telangana’s progress.

Seethakka highlighted that women’s groups are sewing uniforms for government school students, with 90% of the task completed. Uniforms will be distributed on the first day of school, a significant improvement from previous delays. The responsibility for uniforms now lies with women’s groups. Anganwadis are set to open on Wednesday, and collectors must ensure their proper management. For the first time, Anganwadis have been given holidays, and field staff should inspect their buildings, Seethakka added.
