Warangal:
Minister for Forest, Environment, and Endowments, Konda Surekha, announced that notices will be issued to individuals who have illegally occupied water tanks. She stated that strict action will be taken against them. Furthermore, she emphasized that efforts will be made to restore and develop all water bodies within the jurisdiction of Baldia.
Surekha contrasted the current Congress government with the previous BRS government, saying that Congress is working to solve the problems of the people. She particularly noted the issue of flooding in low-lying colonies within the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) limits. According to her, the Congress is committed to addressing these challenges.
She also mentioned improvements at the Kaloji Kalakshetram, which is being prepared for inauguration. Surekha criticized the previous BRS leadership for delaying the project, blaming their indifferent attitude. She dismissed criticisms from BRS leaders, asserting that they have no moral ground to attack Congress, especially since the BRS government had left the state in a financial crisis.
Despite financial difficulties, she assured that the Congress government is successfully running welfare programs and ensuring that state employees receive their salaries on time. She further spoke about Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s focus on improving healthcare services for the people.
Surekha also mentioned efforts to revive the Mamnoor Airport. Additionally, she highlighted that piles of applications for financial assistance under the Chief Minister Relief Fund (CMRF) from the BRS era are now being processed by the current government.
Warangal West MLA Naini Rajender Reddy and Wardhannapet MLA K R Nagaraju were also present at the event.
