In Hyderabad, the Cyberabad Police Commissioner, Avinash Mohanty, praised police officers for their outstanding work in solving cases. He also gave them rewards for their efforts.
One group that was specially recognized was the Special Operations Team (SOT) from Balanagar. Led by Inspector Sivakumar, this team successfully seized 803 kilograms of ganja. The team was honored in a ceremony attended by several senior police officials, including DCP Crimes K Narasimha, Medchal DCP Koti Reddy, Balanagar DCP K Srinivas Kumar, SOT DCP Srinivas, and Additional DCP SOT Shoban Babu.
Besides the SOT team, the Central Crime Station (CCS) units also received recognition for their hard work on various cases. The Commissioner awarded them for different achievements, such as recovering Rs 50 lakh in Rajendra Nagar, arresting suspects in a temple theft case in Medchal, and solving a robbery case in Madhapur.
Additionally, the CCS staff was commended for recovering 250 mobile phones using the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) initiative. This initiative helps trace lost or stolen mobile phones, and their success in this area was particularly noted.
