Hyderabad has seen a rise in heartbreaking cases where children have died after getting trapped inside parked cars. These incidents, often caused by suffocation, are preventable, say the Cyberabad Police.

To stop such tragedies, police have launched a safety reminder: “Look Before You Lock.” This simple habit can save lives. They urge all vehicle owners to always check their cars thoroughly before walking away.

Several recent deaths in Hyderabad have shocked the community. Children left alone in vehicles, even for a short time, have not survived. These cases highlight the urgent need for better awareness and responsibility.

Police stress never to leave a child alone in or near a vehicle, not even briefly. Always inspect both the front and back seats before locking the car.

Car keys should be kept out of children’s reach. Kids must be taught that cars are not play areas. They must understand never to enter a vehicle without an adult.

If multiple adults are traveling with a child, it’s important to clearly assign someone to check on the child. Don’t assume someone else has taken them out. Communication is key.

Additionally, officers suggest always locking parked cars, even when at home. This prevents children from getting in unnoticed.

To boost safety, the police recommend installing rear seat reminders or child detection systems. These alerts can warn drivers if someone is still inside the vehicle.

They also advised against using dark window tints or black films, which block outside visibility. These can prevent others from spotting a child in distress inside a car.
