The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for the North Zone took important steps today to address antisocial behavior in the community. The DCP organized a counseling session specifically aimed at local rowdies, commonly referred to as history sheeters, in the area. The session was held at the DCP’s office and saw the attendance of 107 individuals from the North Zone who have a history of criminal activities.
During the session, the DCP spoke about how a life of crime can harm not just the individuals involved, but also their families and the community as a whole. The DCP encouraged the participants to reflect on their choices and consider making positive changes in their lives. The importance of good behavior and contributing positively to the community was also highlighted.
The police officers made it clear that they will be keeping a close watch on the activities of those who attended the session. They warned that strict actions would be taken against anyone who continues to engage in antisocial activities. However, the officers also mentioned that those who show a commitment to good behavior might have their records reviewed and possibly reconsidered.
The session was attended by several high-ranking police officers, including the Additional DCP, all Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACsP), and Station House Officers (SHOs) from the North Zone. This strong presence of senior officers underlined the police department’s commitment to engaging with the community and preventing crime.
The initiative aims to create a safer environment for everyone in the community and to help individuals move away from a life of crime.
