Gadwal: District Collector B.M. Santosh has urged officials to inform farmers about government schemes and help them benefit economically.
On Thursday, an awareness session was held at the IDOC meeting hall. It focused on loans for agricultural infrastructure, oil palm cultivation, and agricultural credit schemes.
During the event, the District Collector emphasized the importance of government programs in improving farmers’ financial conditions. He encouraged officials to ensure these resources are accessible to all farmers and to collaborate effectively.
He also highlighted the benefits of using nano-technology fertilizers. These fertilizers are efficient in smaller amounts and help maintain soil health and increase crop yields.

Micro Food Processing Enterprises: The PMFME scheme provides a 35% capital subsidy to boost small food processing units, fostering value addition and entrepreneurship.
-
Agricultural Infrastructure Fund: Farmers and agricultural institutions can get loans up to ₹2 crores with a 3% interest subsidy for building storage and processing facilities, improving post-harvest management.

Collector Santosh stressed the importance of timely crop booking before the cultivation season.
