Gadwal District Collector Valluri Kranti has instructed officials to ensure that everyone can exercise their right to vote. This directive was given during a video conference call with district Collectors, the state joint election commissioner Sarfaraz Ahmed, and state level election officers. The focus of the discussion was the upcoming general elections in Telangana.

Joint Chief Electoral Officer Sarfaraz Ahmed urged district officials to take steps to increase voter turnout in assembly segments, register new voters, maintain a proper gender ratio in the voter list, and ensure a balance between voters and population. The officials were also advised to print voter lists and identification cards for newly sanctioned voters and submit reports on the distribution of these cards.

The district Collector emphasized the importance of gathering information on population and voter ratios, gender ratios, and young voters in each polling center. Officials were encouraged to take appropriate measures to meet the election commission’s guidelines in these areas. The Collector also called for awareness programs to increase voter percentage and innovative programs to educate voters. Social media should be used for publicity in urban areas, while suitable programs should be conducted in rural areas. Additionally, special Electoral clubs should be established in educational institutions.

Special attention should be given to registering women voters and maintaining a proper gender ratio. The Collector also mentioned the need for a meeting with representatives from all political parties to revise the second phase voter list. The schedule for this revision will be released on August 21st, and objections and new voter registration applications will be accepted until September 19th. Steps should be taken to print ID cards applied for by August 15th, using printers specified by the election commission.
