Dr. Pattabhiram, a renowned expert in hypnosis and psychology, has passed away at 75 due to a heart attack. He died on Monday, June 30, at 9:45 pm.
He began his career as a magician and became well-known for his motivational talks and writings. His work inspired many young people and students. He wrote several best-selling books focused on positive thinking and overcoming challenges.
On July 2, his body will be at his home in Khairatabad from 9 am to 1 pm for viewing. The funeral will be held at Mahaprasthanam at 3 pm. His wife Jaya and son Prashanth survive him.
Bhavaraju Venkata Pattabhiram was born in East Godavari and was one of 15 children of Raosaheb Bhavaraju Satyanarayana. Throughout his career, he explored writing, magic, acting, and contributed to various magazines, including children’s publications like Balajyoti.
He held a PhD from Osmania University and studied psychology, philosophy, and public administration. He also obtained postgraduate degrees in guidance, counseling, and hypnotherapy from the United States. The University of Florida honored him with an honorary doctorate in 1983 for his work in hypnosis.
Dr. Pattabhiram led workshops on personality development and self-hypnosis in India and abroad, reaching audiences in countries like the United States, Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and the Arab world. His inspirational legacy will continue to impact those who knew him.
