Hyderabad is getting ready to welcome delegates for the upcoming Miss World 2025 beauty pageant. A special heritage walk is planned for the contestants at the iconic Charminar and bustling Lad Bazar on May 13, followed by a grand dinner at the historic Chowmahalla Palace.
To ensure everything goes smoothly, GHMC Commissioner R V Karnan visited Charminar and nearby areas along with officials from different departments. He urged them to speed up preparations and finish all related work on time.
The Commissioner emphasized that visitors should face no inconvenience during the heritage tour. He asked officials to coordinate across departments and make sure all arrangements are in place. Beautification work around Charminar, Lad Bazar, and Chowmahalla Palace must be completed quickly, he added.
In addition to the heritage walk preparations, Commissioner Karnan also reviewed development projects in the Old City. He visited several ongoing works and gave clear instructions to fast-track the land acquisition needed for building the Aramgarh flyover and its connecting ramps.
Karnan also inspected the progress of the flyover between Aramgarh and Zoo Park and reviewed construction works at the Shastripuram railway overbridge (ROB). He stressed the importance of completing these infrastructure projects without delay.
With Hyderabad set to host an international event like Miss World 2025, city officials are working hard to ensure the city looks its best and runs smoothly for the delegates and visitors.
