Asifabad: BRS MLA Kova Lakshmi accused Congress leaders of staging a drama by claiming they had the GO 49 withdrawn. She said it was just a tactic to influence the local body elections.
In a press conference at her home on Tuesday, Lakshmi described the Congress government as oppressive and not truly serving the people.
She claimed that the order related to the Kumram Bheem Conservation Reserve was only suspended, not repealed, and accused the government of engaging in theatrics for electoral advantage.
Lakshmi challenged the government to fully repeal the order if it truly has the courage. She criticized the suspension as a mere vote-seeking strategy and questioned the Congress’s dedication to tribal communities.
Lakshmi announced plans to initiate a movement, inspired by the spirit of fighter Kumar Bhim, to demand the repeal of GO 49.
She stated that Congress leaders were not welcome in the villages and accused them of canceling the order out of fear of losing the upcoming local elections.
Former Sarpanch Marsu Kola Saraswati and leaders Bursa Pochaiah, Ravinder, Haimad, Bhimesh, Srinivas, and others attended the meeting.
