Health Ministry requests pharmaceutical companies to contribute CSR funds for hospital refurbishment.

Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha asked pharma companies to use their CSR funds to help Osmania and Gandhi Hospitals. He met with representatives from 12 top pharma companies to discuss improving medical services and facilities at the hospitals. The minister emphasized the importance of using CSR funds for patient care, sanitation, diet, waste management, water supply, and staff training.

The minister’s request was well-received, and the pharma companies agreed to release CSR funds to support the hospitals. Representatives from the CSR departments of the companies will visit the hospitals this week to assess the needs and submit a report on priority areas for improvement.

The minister instructed the hospital superintendents to submit proposals for infrastructure and staffing improvements to enhance patient care. The goal is to provide high-quality services to patients at both Osmania and Gandhi Hospitals.
