Hyderabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand has asked organizers of the Sri Veera Hanuman Vijaya Yatra to avoid using DJ systems during the upcoming procession on April 12. He made this request during a planning meeting held at Osmania Medical College Auditorium in Koti.

At the meeting, Anand spoke with officials from various departments and yatra organizers to discuss safety and traffic arrangements. He asked for everyone’s cooperation to ensure the event goes smoothly and without any trouble.

Organizers were told to report any unknown participants to the police and help manage traffic to avoid jams. Anand also said that the height of idols should be checked to make sure they can pass safely under railway bridges. This will help avoid last-minute route changes.

To reduce noise pollution, he suggested using large standalone speakers instead of DJ systems with mixers. He also highlighted that weather forecasts show it might rain, so the GHMC and traffic police should be ready with backup plans.

Yatra organizers were asked to give the police details about how many vehicles and people will take part in the procession. Anand advised them to train volunteers and rope teams to help keep things in order, and he stressed the importance of sticking to the approved route.

Special instructions were given to check tusker vehicles, especially in narrow lanes. The Commissioner warned against any disorder during the return part of the yatra and said that drones cannot be used without police permission.

In total, about 150 yatras are expected within Hyderabad Police limits, with another 46 from Cyberabad and Rachakonda areas joining the main procession. Anand warned the public not to believe or share false or provocative messages on social media.

To manage the event, around 17,000 police and armed forces will be deployed. A joint control room will operate from 8 a.m. on April 12 at the Police Commissioner’s ICCC Building in Banjara Hills. Officials from various departments will work together from this center to provide help and updates.

After the meeting, Anand and other officials walked along the 12.2 km main yatra route. The route starts at Sri Rama Mandir in Gowliguda and goes through Narayanaguda, RTC crossroads, Ashok Nagar, Kavadiguda, and Bible House, ending at Sri Hanuman Temple in Tadbund.

Department heads were told to quickly fix any problems along the route and finish any pending work. Officers from the Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Rachakonda police commissionerates also took part in the briefing and route inspection.
