    Hyderabad Swelters as Telangana Heatwave Peaks at 45.4°C

    Telangana is experiencing a severe heatwave, with many areas recording extremely high temperatures. On Thursday, temperatures in several northern districts went above 45 degrees Celsius. Even Hyderabad, the state capital, was affected by the intense heat, according to the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS).

    Nizamabad was the hottest place in the state, with the temperature reaching 45.4°C. Jagitial followed closely at 45.3°C. Other districts like Adilabad and Nirmal recorded 45.2°C, while Mancherial saw 45.1°C. Kumuram Bheem Asifabad registered 45°C. Nalgonda also faced high temperatures at 44.9°C, and Kamareddy and Peddapalli recorded 44.6°C and 44.5°C respectively. Karimnagar reached 44.4°C, and Rajanna Sircilla logged 43.9°C.

    In Hyderabad, although it was slightly cooler than the northern districts, the heat was still intense. Many city areas recorded around 42°C. IS Sadan was the hottest spot in the city at 42°C. Other places like Habsiguda, Musheerabad, Shaikpet, Lingampally, Madhapur, Balanagar, and Jeedimetla all reported 41.9°C. Nacharam recorded 41.8°C, Ziaguda had 41.7°C, and Mettuguda reached 41.5°C. Khairtabad and Tirumalagiri both saw 41.2°C.

    The India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Hyderabad has warned that there will be no immediate relief from the heat. On Thursday, Hyderabad experienced a high of 39°C and a low of 28°C with partly cloudy and hazy skies. Temperatures are expected to rise further over the next few days.

    On Friday, the maximum temperature in the city is forecasted to reach 40°C, and on Saturday, it may go up to 41°C. A slight drop to 38°C is expected on Sunday, but temperatures will likely increase again early next week. Between April 26 and April 30, cloudy skies with chances of light rain, thunderstorms, or dust storms have been predicted.
