Jagtial, Telangana – The government is working hard to turn Jagtial district into a top healthcare center in the state, said Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha during his visit on Sunday.

At a key meeting in the Collector’s office, the minister spoke with officials from the Medical & Health Department, Telangana Vaidya Vidhana Parishad (TVVP), and DME-affiliated hospitals. The focus was on improving medical services across the district.

Rajanarasimha reviewed hospital facilities, staff performance, public complaints, and challenges facing the health sector. He promised that the government would provide all the necessary medical tools and support.

An important announcement came during the meeting — an MRI scanner has been approved for Jagtial General Hospital. The minister also stressed better service at the district’s three dialysis centers, warning that carelessness toward patients would not be accepted.

The minister highlighted Jagtial’s key role in delivering healthcare in North Telangana and urged doctors to stay committed to their duties. He called for 100% institutional deliveries in government hospitals and encouraged staff to promote natural births.

To spread awareness in rural areas, he asked Anganwadi and ASHA workers to actively educate families about health services available at government hospitals.

A new trauma care center will be set up in the Jagtial-Dharmapuri region to help road accident victims. The minister emphasized the need for clean, well-managed facilities, especially the district drug center.

Dialysis center staff were reminded to deliver the best possible care. All medical workers were told to treat patients with dignity and compassion. Rajanarasimha made it clear that delayed or poor service would lead to strict action against those responsible.

He urged health workers to improve their performance and help build a better image for government hospitals. The minister encouraged the public to use government healthcare facilities instead of spending heavily on private care. He said public trust would grow only when services are consistent, reliable, and affordable.

Government Whip Laxman Kumar, along with MLAs Aadi Srinivas from Vemulawada and Dr. Sanjay from Korutla, attended the meeting.
