Jogulamba Gadwal SP Leads Crime Review Meeting, Stresses Faster Investigations and Stronger Law Enforcement

A monthly crime review meeting was held on Monday at the Jogulamba Gadwal District Police Office. The meeting, led by District SP T. Srinivas Rao, focused on reviewing different cases, including old pending cases, serious crimes, SC/ST cases, and ongoing court cases. Officials discussed ways to increase conviction rates and speed up investigations.

Reviewing Pending Cases

During the meeting, the SP examined ongoing investigations and collected updates from police officers about serious and minor cases. He stressed the need for better coordination between police and the judiciary to resolve cases quickly. Officers were instructed to complete investigations thoroughly and close cases efficiently.

Focus on POCSO and SC/ST Cases

The SP asked officers to prioritize POCSO and SC/ST cases by ensuring that charge sheets are filed promptly. He emphasized that all cases should have a clear action plan and be investigated with high standards. He also reminded officers that POCSO and SC/ST cases must be fully investigated and charge sheets filed within 60 days.

Tackling Cybercrime and Night Patrolling

With cybercrimes on the rise, the SP directed officers to speed up investigations into these cases. He also ordered increased night patrolling to prevent thefts, especially during the summer. Women police officers were asked to not only patrol the streets but also conduct awareness programs in women's colleges.

Law Enforcement and Special Measures

The SP issued several enforcement instructions, including:
Following SOP guidelines for daily investigations.
Conducting vehicle checks every morning and evening.
Taking strict action against illegal labor transportation in goods vehicles.
Organizing vehicle inspections where needed.
Ensuring no pending arrests in active cases.
Monitoring lodges and known offenders closely.

Additionally, he instructed officers to take action against public alcohol consumption, handle land disputes quickly, and monitor illegal sand and PDS rice transportation. He also ordered police to check CCTV cameras daily and repair any non-working cameras immediately.

The meeting was attended by Deputy SP Y. Mogilayya, CCS Inspector Nageshwar Reddy, Circle Inspectors T. Srinu (Gadwal), Ravi Babu (Alampur), Tata Babu (Shantinagar), all Sub-Inspectors from different police stations, and other officials.

The review meeting ended with clear instructions on crime control, efficient investigations, and proactive law enforcement in the Jogulamba Gadwal District.
