KT Rama Rao, the working president of BRS, criticized the government on Monday over an incident in Hyderabad where women carried water in pots to save their paddy fields. He accused the government of neglecting to repair two important pillars for 19 months. Comparing the situation to “IndirammaRajyam,” he expressed concern about women having to fetch water for their crops, highlighting the struggles they face even for drinking water.
In Rangadhamunipalli, Gollapalli, Jagityala district, a transformer has been broken for 15 days, according to Rama Rao. He questioned the government’s ability, pointing out their failure to fix the Medigadda pillars for over a year. He criticized the lack of irrigation facilities and the difficulties in using groundwater, which had increased under the BRS regime. Rama Rao lamented seeing crops dry up and asked when the Chief Minister would alleviate the suffering of women and children carrying water pots.
Rama Rao also condemned the government over a student’s suicide in a Gurukul hostel. He blamed the Congress government for the death of a fifth-grade student in the Jyotiba Phule hostel in Thupranpet, Choutuppal mandal, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district. He claimed that despite 90 students dying in Gurukuls due to various reasons, the Chief Minister has not offered any relief. He warned that if the deaths in Gurukuls continue, the parents’ curses will impact the Congress government.
