KTR extends support to those stranded in HP

The Telangana government is taking steps to bring back Telugu students who are stuck in flood-hit Himachal Pradesh. Industries Minister KT Rama Rao received information from worried parents about the students being stranded in Kullu and Manali. The whereabouts of five doctors from Osmania Medical College have been located, and other tourists from Telangana, especially students and some families, are reported to be safe. However, they are concerned about the long wait to return home as the rains continue.

According to sources, there are around six students from St Mary’s College, Yousufguda, Ramakrishna and his family, and a few doctors from Osmania Medical College who got stranded in various areas of Himachal Pradesh, including Kullu, Manali, and Kasol. Minister K T Rama Rao received a tweet from a group of 30 members from Hyderabad who were stuck at Darcha due to landslides. They had come on a trip to Manali and Ladakh and have been stranded for four days.

In response, KTR tweeted that the Telangana Bhavan in Delhi has reached out to the local Himachal Pradesh district administration to help them return safely. He provided contact information for the control room in Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi. Mahipal Reddy, an IT employee, said his brother and his family are stranded in Manali due to heavy rains and landslides. They have been unable to trace them as their phones are switched off. Aziz Khan, a second-year degree student, also requested help from TS Bhavan for his friends stuck in Himachal Pradesh.

Syed Farooq Hussain, a second-year degree student from St Mary’s College, Yousufguda, along with five friends, is stranded in Himachal Pradesh. They moved to Kullu with the help of local people after going there last week without knowing about the weather conditions.
