Hyderabad: Former MP Madhu Yashki has dismissed the claims made by BRS working president K T Rama Rao (KTR) that he has constructions within the Full Tank Level (FTL) of Osman Sagar, near Gandipet. Yashki challenged KTR, who is also the former Minister of Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD), to provide evidence supporting these allegations.
Speaking to the media, Madhu Yashki, who is also the chairman of the PCC campaign committee, acknowledged that he owns property near Gandipet. However, he clarified that there are no permanent structures on the land, which is primarily used for farming.
He explained that the only structure on the property is a small shelter for the watchman and his family to live in. He emphasized that there is no farmhouse or large construction within the FTL or Buffer Zone, unlike what KTR has suggested. Yashki further pointed out that there are no regulations preventing farming activities within the FTL and Buffer Zone.
Madhu Yashki’s remarks came in response to KTR’s allegations, where KTR listed the names of several Congress leaders, including Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, accusing them of owning properties and constructing buildings within the FTL.
