Hyderabad: Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has directed officials to speed up the processing of land-related applications in four mandals—Maddur, Lingampeta, Venkatapur, and Nelakondapalli. These areas are currently part of a test run for the new Bhu Bharati Act.
On Monday, the Minister held a video meeting with district collectors from Mulugu, Kamareddy, Khammam, and Narayanpet to review how the new land reform law is being carried out.
He emphasized that farmers no longer need to go to court to settle land disputes. Local revenue offices will now handle their issues directly, making the process faster and more affordable.
Officials will visit villages to resolve land problems on-site. The Minister made it clear—resolving issues should not cost the people anything.
Ponguleti also ordered officials to carefully examine every application received. He stressed that no request should be dismissed without proper review.
From now on, Tahsildars can accept applications through an online portal, available 24/7. This new system aims to make the process smoother and more transparent.
All applications submitted in the four pilot districts must be reviewed and resolved by the end of the month, especially the major pending cases.
The Minister’s focus is on providing timely solutions and making land services more accessible under the Bhu Bharati initiative.
