Minister for Roads and Buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Minister for Transport and BC Welfare Ponnam Prabhakar have requested the leaders and members of the Congress party not to bring shawls and bouquets to greet them on New Year’s Day. Instead, they are encouraging people to donate the money they would have spent on gifts to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, which will help those in need.

Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy expressed his happiness in interacting with Congress workers and field level leaders, but emphasized that there is no need for any kind of gifts or excitement during these interactions. He reminded everyone that under the Congress rule, the Ministers will visit people’s homes through programs like Praja Palana to understand their problems.

The Minister criticized the previous BRS government for allegedly misusing public funds for irrigation projects and depleting the State treasury. He suggested that instead of wasting money on bouquets and shawls, the party members and public should donate the cost of these gifts to the CM Relief Fund, which can be used for the healthcare needs of the poor.

Similarly, Minister Ponnam Prabhakar also made a plea to the public, asking them not to bring shawls and bouquets when greeting him. Instead, he suggested giving books as greetings, as these donated books will be distributed to students and children who will greatly benefit from them.
