The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted moderate rainfall across Telangana for the next four days. Several districts, including Hyderabad, are expected to see more intense rain and have been put on orange alert.

The orange alert covers Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, and Medchal Malkajgiri. These areas face a higher chance of heavy rain. Other districts are under a yellow alert, signaling moderate rainfall.

According to the IMD, a surface circulation is affecting the region’s weather. This system may bring heavy to very heavy downpours today and tomorrow in some parts of the state.

In Hyderabad and surrounding areas, residents can expect light to moderate rain, along with thunderstorms, over the next two days. The rain could be accompanied by gusty winds blowing at 40 to 50 km/h, the IMD warned.

Temperatures during the day are also expected to drop. For the next three days, the mercury may stay 3 to 5 degrees Celsius below normal, offering a break from the recent heat.

Over the past two days, rainfall in Hyderabad has already cooled down the city, bringing much-needed relief from the hot weather.
