Adilabad: Nagabhushanam School in Boath constituency marked Kargil Vijay Diwas with heartfelt celebrations. Students dressed as soldiers, showcasing their patriotic spirit.
School correspondent Kishore Kumar spoke to the attendees. He shared that in 1999, the Pakistani military entered the Kargil region, taking over key positions. In response, the Indian Army launched “Operation Vijay.” For nearly three months, Indian soldiers bravely fought in tough weather and on challenging mountainous terrain. On July 26, 1999, the Indian Army successfully defeated Pakistani forces and reclaimed their land.
Kumar highlighted that July 26 is celebrated annually as Kargil Vijay Diwas in honor of this significant victory. Both teachers and students took part in the event.
