Hyderabad now has its first-ever government-run pain management clinic, launched at Osmania General Hospital (OGH) on Saturday. This new facility is a big step forward in public healthcare across Telangana, offering free treatment for people suffering from ongoing and severe pain.

The new pain clinic is designed to help patients who struggle with chronic pain conditions but cannot afford treatment at private hospitals. It brings together medical experts from different fields to provide full support—from diagnosis to therapy and rehabilitation.

Doctors say this center will improve access to advanced pain relief treatments, especially for low-income patients. The clinic uses modern medical equipment and follows a team-based approach, helping patients recover more effectively and return to their daily lives.

The clinic became a reality thanks to the support of generous donors. Several NRI doctors and philanthropists contributed funds, equipment, and expertise to set it up. Key supporters include Dr. Surender Sandella, Dr. Ram Pasupeleti, Prof. J. Padmavathi Ragavender Rai, Chandrakala Hariprasadh, and Hariprasadh Gopikishan.

This new clinic at OGH promises to ease the burden of pain for many and marks a hopeful shift in government healthcare services.
