Hyderabad: A new integrated Sub-Registrar office will soon open in Gachibowli, combining the registration offices of Rangareddy, Gandipet, Sherlingampalli, and Rajendranagar. Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy announced that the foundation stone for this office will be laid by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on August 20.
In the initial phase, 39 Sub-Registrar offices across Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Medchal, and Sangareddy districts will be consolidated into 11 integrated buildings. The new facility at Telangana Academy of Land Information and Management (TALIM) in Gachibowli will serve as a model for these integrations. Minister Reddy confirmed that preparations for the August 20 event are underway and visited Gachibowli to oversee the arrangements.
District collectors have been instructed to identify suitable locations for additional integrated buildings to accommodate 13 more sub-registrar offices. The Minister emphasized that a slot booking system will be implemented across all sub-registrar offices to ensure transparent and efficient service. Since its phased introduction from April 10 to June 2, approximately three lakh bookings have been made across 144 offices.
The government aims to enhance service quality, not generate revenue, from the Stamps & Registration Department. By introducing slot booking, they have saved significant time for the public. An e-Aadhaar system is also being rolled out to expedite the registration process, already in use at Armur and Kusumanchi Sub-Registrar offices, with plans to expand statewide.
Minister Reddy highlighted the substantial reforms in the Stamp & Registration Department, aiming to offer superior services. These changes, inspired by Chief Minister Reddy’s vision, will streamline operations, improve oversight, and reduce corruption. The new integrated offices are expected to balance workloads and speed up file processing, ultimately enhancing convenience for the public.
