Gadwal: District Superintendent of Police T. Srinivasa Rao has instructed police officers in the district to quickly handle issues regarding public safety and law and order.
On Monday, he led the Praja Vani program, where he personally received 19 complaints, mostly about land disputes, from people across the district.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Moggalayya and Circle Inspectors from Alampur, Gadwal, and Shantinagar attended the event.
During the session, SP Srinivasa Rao checked the progress on earlier complaints by getting updates from Circle Officers. He also called Station House Officers to evaluate ongoing actions and give instructions.
The SP stressed taking strong legal measures against those who:
- Threaten public peace.
- Encroach on land.
- Cheat innocent people.
- Commit violence or intimidation.
Women’s Safety is a key focus. SP Srinivasa Rao highlighted the need for immediate police action in cases of harassment or threats against women. He instructed firm legal action against offenders.
He also advocated for resolving domestic disputes peacefully. Couples in conflict are to attend weekly counseling sessions at the DSP Office on Saturdays, under the District Police Department‘s guidance, to promote understanding and reconciliation.
For civil issues, especially property disputes, SP Srinivasa Rao advised people to pursue legal resolutions through the courts, emphasizing the judiciary’s role in fair outcomes.
