Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, hailing from a farming family, set to become Minister in the Assembly

Former MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, who comes from a farming family background, will be serving as a Minister in the new State government. He has a history of providing medical aid to disadvantaged groups and working on infrastructure development. He has also championed the cause of farmers. Reddy won the Lok Sabha election from Khammam in 2014 as a YSRCP candidate and later joined the BRS party. However, he recently joined Congress in July 2023.

Reddy was elected from Palair Assembly constituency with a majority of 56,650 votes. Despite his notable political standing, he maintains a down-to-earth approach which has endeared him to constituents and peers.
