Hyderabad: Senior IAS officer KS Srinivasa Raju, originally from the Andhra Pradesh cadre, has taken on a new role as Principal Secretary in the Telangana Chief Minister’s Office (CMO). This appointment comes shortly after he chose to retire early from government service in 2024.
Following his retirement, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy appointed Raju as an advisor. In his new position, Raju will oversee major areas such as infrastructure development and key government projects managed by the CMO.
Raju is not new to Telangana. He previously served as Principal Secretary of the Roads and Buildings Department in the state. He took up that role on inter-state deputation after YS Jagan Mohan Reddy became Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh in 2019.
He spent four years in Telangana in that capacity. When his deputation ended in March 2024, he sought an extension through the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT). However, the request was not approved, and he returned to his home cadre in Andhra Pradesh.
Raju had aimed to become the Executive Officer of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) but was unable to secure the post. Soon after, he applied for voluntary retirement, which the central government approved in June 2024.
Now back in Telangana, Raju brings his experience and administrative skills to support the Chief Minister in executing important state projects.
