Rangareddy: Despite the Bhu-bharati program starting a year ago to tackle land issues, complaints in Rangareddy district remain frequent.
The issue was highlighted at Prajavani, a weekly event designed to address public concerns in the presence of senior officials. During a recent session at the district Collectorate, officials received 70 complaints.
Many issues arise at Prajavani, but those related to revenue are the most common. Of the 70 complaints, 39 concerned the revenue department. Other complaints included six about municipal matters, nine about education, six about the Board of Intermediate, three about pensions, two regarding Panchayat Raj, two about the police, and one each related to agriculture and housing.
District Collector C. Narayan Reddy instructed officials to prioritize these grievances. He emphasized the need for a thorough investigation and timely resolution to avoid backlogs. He also warned about the dangers of fertilizers, urging farmers to be aware of their high chemical content.
Officials also talked about Vana Mahotsav, a tree-planting festival aimed at boosting the district’s greenery, and the pending tasks under the Indiramma housing scheme. The Collector urged different departments to actively participate in the plantation drive and ensure the completion of housing projects under the Indiramma scheme.
