The Anti Corruption Bureau caught Gundumal mandal Tahsildar Pandu Nayak in Narayanpet district for demanding a bribe from a farmer named Mallesh. Mallesh needed his land registration documents, but the Tahsildar asked for Rs. 3000 in exchange for the papers. Despite Mallesh’s pleas of poverty, the Tahsildar, along with two others, refused to give him the documents without the bribe.
After Mallesh grew tired of the corruption, he reported the incident to the ACB officials. The officials conducted a background investigation and set up a trap to catch all three individuals involved in the bribery at the Tahasildar office. Pandu Nayak had a history of similar corrupt activities in other places like Wanaparthy and Achampet.
The ACB officials are now conducting a thorough investigation to uncover any other individuals involved in this bribery scheme. They plan to compile a report and submit it to the government for further action. The officials urge the public not to give bribes to government employees, as it is their duty to serve without seeking anything in return.
Krishna Goud, an ACB official, emphasized the importance of reporting corrupt activities to the authorities. He assured the public that the ACB will take swift action against corrupt officials and bring them to justice. If anyone witnesses bribery or corruption, they are encouraged to contact the ACB immediately.
