The Telangana Government has approved ₹121.92 crores to build a High-Level Road Bridge over the Krishna River. This bridge will link Revulapally village in Dharur Mandal, Jogulamba Gadwal District, with Nandimalla village in Amarchinta Mandal, Wanaparthy District. The official approval came through a government order on July 1, 2025.
The news has brought joy to the Gadwal constituency, especially among farmers and local leaders who have long sought better river connectivity.
Smt. Sarithamma, Congress Gadwal Constituency In-Charge, thanked Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, District In-Charge Minister Damodar Narasimha, Ministers Jupally Krishna Rao, Vakiti Srihari, and MP Mallu Ravi. She praised their quick action in approving a long-demanded project, following their site visit.
Sarithamma noted that Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy had promised the swift release of the government order during his visit to the Jurala Project. The prompt issuance of the order marks the beginning of this vital project.
From the Congress Party Camp Office in Gadwal, Sarithamma expressed gratitude on behalf of the Gadwal people and farmers, seeing this as a crucial move towards regional progress.
Gadwal MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy also thanked the state leaders, including Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy. He emphasized that the bridge will crucially connect remote villages across the Krishna River, enhancing transport, agricultural logistics, and emergency services, especially during floods.
The new bridge will not only improve travel between Jogulamba Gadwal and Wanaparthy districts but is also expected to boost the area’s socio-economic growth. It will reduce reliance on longer routes and temporary crossings, particularly benefiting farmers, traders, and students.
This project aligns with the Telangana Government’s aim to advance rural infrastructure and connectivity. The Chief Engineer (R&B) State Roads & CRN, Hyderabad, has been tasked with preparing detailed construction plans.
This development is celebrated as a major victory for the Gadwal constituency, addressing a long-standing need for better accessibility and regional prosperity.
