    The District Collector of Wanaparthy, TejasNand Lal, recently emphasized the importance of the public’s cooperation with municipal staff in keeping the town beautiful. This message was conveyed during an awareness conference held as part of the Swachh UtsavaProgramme, which coincided with Women’s Day Week. To kick off the event, the Collector waved the flag at a rally organized by the Municipality in Wanaparthy. During his speech, he urged citizens to do their part in maintaining cleanliness and also pledged to use cloth bags instead of plastic.

    Additionally, the Collector oversaw the Bhumi Puja ceremony for the construction of a new CC road, which is being funded by the SDF programme at a cost of Rs52 lakh. He also inspected the medical college building site and ordered the contractor, Rama Rao, to complete the work promptly. The Collector also expressed his willingness to address any issues faced by students of the medical college and urged the contractor to arrange a meeting with them if necessary. During his visit to the medical college, he inspected the Pathology Hematology and Skill Lab facilities as well. Overall, the Collector’s visit served as a reminder for citizens to take responsibility for maintaining their town’s beauty and cleanliness.
