Tension rose in Huzurabad during a programme at the house of MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy, which was organized to address the release of the second batch of funds for the Dalit Bandhu scheme.

A large number of Dalit families gathered for the event. Some members requested the MLA to visit Ambedkar Square, lay flowers, and hold a protest. Despite attempts by the police to stop him, Reddy proceeded to the square, garlanded the statue of Ambedkar, and began a protest by beating drums.

A heated argument broke out between the MLA and the police. Some people blocked police vehicles in protest when they tried to arrest Reddy. However, after deploying more police forces, Kaushik Reddy was eventually arrested in a tense situation.

In response, angry Dalits staged a sit-in at Ambedkar Square, shouting slogans against both the government and the police. They demanded the immediate release of Kaushik Reddy. The protest lasted for about an hour, and the police detained some of the protesters who did not comply with their orders.

During the scuffle, Kaushik Reddy was injured and taken to a local government hospital for treatment. While speaking to the media, Reddy declared that no matter how many cases the Chief Minister files against him, he would continue to support the Dalits, even at the cost of his life.

Reddy also issued a warning, stating that there would be no peace until the second instalment of Dalit Bandhu is released. He reminded that during the elections, CM Revanth Reddy had promised Rs. 12 lakh to Dalits, and they were now demanding that the amount be provided immediately.
