    Kothagudem:

The district of Kothagudem is receiving significant support from the government. This is largely because it is the home district of Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Agriculture Minister Tummala, and Revenue and I&PR Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. These leaders are focusing on the district’s development and are securing additional funds for this purpose.

Recently, Tourism Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao visited the area. He checked out several tourist spots in both Khammam and Kothagudem districts. The government is making plans to transform the Bhadrachalam Tribal Museum into a tourist attraction. The District Collector, who also serves as the chairman of the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) in Bhadrachalam, is particularly interested in this project.

The District Collector emphasized the importance of including old tribal artworks and historical items in the museum. This way, tourists visiting Bhadrachalam from other states can learn about the history of the local tribes. The Collector, Patil, visited the museum himself and reviewed the artifacts from older generations. He also suggested setting up signboards around Bhadrachalam to guide pilgrims visiting the Bhadradri temple toward the museum.

To enhance the museum’s appeal as a tourist spot, the Collector recommended displaying tribal jewelry, utensils, and other items that represent tribal culture. He also suggested creating arrangements to set up traditional huts and offer Adivasi cuisine to visitors, so they can experience tribal culture first-hand.

The in-charge of the tribal museum, Veera Swamy, gave the Collector a detailed explanation of the artifacts currently on display. A tribal leader, S Veeraiah, has urged the government to allocate more funds for the development of the tribal museum, stressing its importance in preserving tribal heritage and culture.
