Asifabad: Nagabala Suresh Kumar, the founding state president of the TV Federation, has promised to help young and aspiring artists in Asifabad. Speaking at a meeting with local talent at Picture Time Theater on Saturday, he said the natural beauty of Asifabad should be used for making films and TV shows.
He was joined by young director Dandanayakula Manas. Kumar said that although the district has many beautiful locations, it lacks basic infrastructure needed for film shoots. He emphasized the need to provide facilities for artists and technicians who come to work in the area. “We want to create jobs and support the film industry in this region,” he said.
Kumar also mentioned that 110 people from the former Adilabad district are already working in the TV industry, and more efforts are being made to increase this number.
To support this goal, he revealed plans to build a film studio in Asifabad. He admitted that building a studio in a less developed area is difficult but said he would present the idea to the Chief Minister and Film Industry Chairman Dil Raju.
Director Manas added that he wants to help local talent grow and make sure they get the right guidance and opportunities in the entertainment field.
Earlier in the event, attendees watched a documentary about freedom fighter Komaram Bheem. The film, directed by Suresh Kumar, has won four Silver Nandi Awards in the former united Andhra Pradesh.
