Gadwal: Farmers, Waqf land victims, and minority women from the Zaheerabad area in Sangareddy district visited MP D.K. Aruna’s home in Hyderabad to thank her for helping them get justice through the Waqf Amendment Bill.
D.K. Aruna played an important role as a member of the Joint Parliamentary Committee that worked on the Waqf Amendment Bill. She fought hard to bring attention to the problems faced by people affected by Waqf land issues in Telangana. Her efforts helped make the new law possible, which brought relief to many families.
People came from villages like Machireddypally, Picharegadi, Kohir, and Zaheerabad. Many of them were small farmers, landowners who lost their land, and Muslim women from minority communities. They had faced legal troubles, eviction threats, and uncertainty about their land for years.
At the event, which was attended by Advocate Venkateshwar Reddy, D.K. Aruna was honored with shawls, flower garlands, and heartfelt messages. It was an emotional moment for many.
A woman from Kohir said, “Arunamma came to our villages, listened to our problems, and spoke for us in Parliament. Thanks to her, we now have hope.”
Farmers also shared their appreciation, saying that Aruna understood their pain and fought for their rights. One farmer said with tears in his eyes, “She saw how much we were suffering. Today we can dream again because of her.”
In her speech, Aruna thanked everyone for their support and promised to keep working for people in need. “This is just the beginning. I will keep fighting until everyone gets what they deserve,” she said.
The gathering showed how strong leadership and care for the people can make a big difference. For the Waqf land victims of Zaheerabad, MP D.K. Aruna is not just a politician—she has become a symbol of justice and hope.
