Gadwal:
Efforts to bring the Gurukula School back to Aija Mandal headquarters gained momentum today. The Aija Akhilapaksha Committee renewed its push to relocate the school, which had been moved to a private building years ago due to poor facilities.
Originally, the Gurukula School operated from the Government High School building in Aija. But with no proper infrastructure, it was shifted to a private site near Erravalli Crossroads. Since then, students have struggled with serious hardships, facing a lack of basic amenities.
Parents have long urged authorities to act. Responding to their concerns, the Akhilapaksha Committee approached district officials again. They reminded them that earlier proposals had called for a larger, well-equipped building for the school within Aija itself.
Recently, there has been real progress. Talks were held with the owner of the SVM building, a potential new site for the school. Many public leaders stepped in to support the cause. Congress MP Mallu Ravi, Aija Congress in-charge Sampath Kumar, MLA Vijayudu, and MLC Challa Venkata Rami Reddy all pushed for the school’s immediate return to Aija.
Speaking to the media, the committee stressed the urgency of moving the school before the next academic year begins. They called on officials to fulfill their promises and prioritize the welfare of Aija’s children.
Several local leaders also joined the movement, including Chakali Anjaneyulu, Nagaradoddi Venkata Ramulu, PGK Venkateshwara Rao, Dandora Anjaneyulu, SP Hanumanthu, Medical Tirumal Reddy, Sudhakar Goud, Gopalakrishna, Lakshman Goud, Baligera Yesuraju, Tumukunta Kishtanna, Vijay, Veerareddy, and many others.
The entire community is hopeful. With strong backing from local leaders, activists, and officials, they believe the Gurukula School will soon return to the heart of Aija Mandal. This move promises better facilities and a brighter future for its students.
