Warangal: Rajya Sabha Member Vaddiraju Ravichandra, known for his generous nature, has donated his one-month salary to help flood victims in Telangana. He made this donation following a call for assistance from the former chief minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao. Ravichandra announced his decision on Wednesday.
Over the years, Ravichandra has been actively involved in supporting the poor and contributing to various community projects. His charitable efforts also include helping in the development of several temples.
Some of his notable donations include granite slabs and steel railings worth approximately Rs 3 crore to the Sammakka Saralamma temple in Medaram. He also provided two mini buses to the Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Devasthanam to transport devotees from the bus station to the temple. Additionally, he contributed Rs 10 lakh for the development of MGM Hospital in Warangal.
Ravichandra, who is 58 years old, comes from Inugurthy village in the Kesamudram mandal of Mahabubabad district. He is now settled in Khammam and is recognized as one of the leading granite industrialists in the region.
