Nizamabad: Students at a private junior college in Kammarpally, Nizamabad district, finally received their transfer certificates after facing delays. This was made possible by the swift action of District Collector T Vinay Krishna Reddy, who visited the area on Wednesday.
During the Collector’s visit to a Primary Health Center, students approached him to explain their issue. They had completed the first year of their Intermediate studies at Sri Bhashita Private Junior College but switched to a local government college for the second year due to high fees.
Despite paying all dues, 15 students were unable to get their transfer certificates from the private college, which they needed to submit by July 30 to continue their studies. The students had been trying for two weeks without success.
The Collector took immediate action by visiting the private college and questioning the management on their refusal to issue the certificates. He emphasized that students should freely choose their place of study and should not be forced to stay.
He warned the college of potential legal consequences if the certificates were not issued. The Collector then instructed the local Tehsildar, Prasad, and the Principal of the Government Junior College to ensure the students received their certificates and could complete their admissions.
Grateful for the quick resolution, the students thanked the Collector. They expressed relief that they could continue their education without additional fees or losing a year. Locals also appreciated the Collector’s prompt response and hands-on approach to solving the issue.
