Gadwal: District Collector B.M. Santosh emphasized the government’s dedication to improving facilities in government schools, prioritizing infrastructure development.

On a surprise visit Friday, he checked several schools, including Telangana Gurukula School and Junior College in Beechupalli village, Erravalli Mandal. He examined classrooms, hostels, and toilets, suggesting improvements where needed.

In the toilets, he found no water supply and instructed Mission Bhagiratha officials to fix it immediately. He urged school authorities to plan hostel accommodations based on student numbers for better comfort.

He spoke with 10th graders about their studies and satisfaction with amenities, encouraging them to aim for top marks, stressing the importance of high performance in Class 10.

Later, he visited Telangana Social Welfare Residential School near Erravalli, reviewing admissions and noting vacant seats. He promised these would be filled after the third counseling phase, following discussions with higher-ups.

He inspected residential areas, bathrooms, and checked the phone service for student-parent communication, highlighting its importance for emotional support.

At Telangana Social Welfare Residential Boys’ Junior College in Veerapuram village, Gadwal Mandal, he reviewed the Mid-Day Meal scheme, tasting the food and getting positive feedback from students. He assessed classroom conditions and discussed students’ needs.

Collector B. Y. Santosh reiterated the government’s efforts for comprehensive school development, focusing on adequate hostels, clean water, sanitation, nutritious food, effective teaching, and emotional support.

He urged students to stay disciplined and focused for academic success. School principals Mr. Srinivas, Mr. RamAnjaneyulu, and Mr. Raju, along with staff and students, attended the inspections.
