Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has handed over keys to 16 individuals who will now live in newly-constructed 2BHK flats. These flats were given to people who were affected by the Musi River rehabilitation project. While some residents had protested during the survey and expressed concerns about the government’s Musi River Development Project, many others were grateful and happy to receive their new homes.
The flats were provided to people from various neighborhoods around the Musi River. This allocation marks a significant step in the government’s efforts to rehabilitate the area and ensure proper housing for those affected.
Abdul Raheem, one of the beneficiaries, shared his joy and relief after receiving the keys to his 2BHK flat. He mentioned how secure he feels now that he has a permanent home, thanks to the government.
Another resident, Md Sadiq, recalled the recent floods and how he and his neighbors spent many sleepless nights worrying about their housing situation. He thanked the government for acting quickly to provide them with permanent homes.
The flats were handed over at the Pilligudiselu 2BHK Housing complex in Chanchalguda. Among the recipients was Noor Jahan, who was seen smiling brightly as she held the keys to her new home. She expressed her deep gratitude to the government for helping those in need.
