The Commissioner’s Task Force from Golconda Zone conducted a major raid at a meat store in Hyderabad and seized approximately 12 tons of stale and spoiled sheep and goat offal valued at ₹10 lakhs. The operation took place at “A to Z Sheep & Goat Offal Store” located beside Akbari Masjid in Aman Nagar Colony, Mangalhat. The raid was carried out in coordination with the H-FAST Team and Mangalhat Police.

During the operation, authorities apprehended one accused identified as Rafi Ahmed, who worked as the manager of the store. The owner of the establishment, Mohd Afroz, is currently absconding and evading arrest. Police officials have launched efforts to track down and apprehend the absconding owner who has previous involvement in similar offenses.

The investigation revealed a disturbing pattern of illegal operations that posed serious health risks to the public. The accused were procuring spoiled offal at significantly reduced prices from various sources. They would then store this decomposed meat for extended periods in deep freezers and plastic tubs filled with stagnant water to mask the foul smell and hide signs of decomposition.
