    Jogulamba Bala Brahmeshwara Swamy Temple Records Impressive Revenue from Hundi

    The Jogulamba Bala Brahmeshwara Swamy Temple, located in Jogulamba Gadwal district, recently completed a Hundi counting event, revealing a remarkable income of ₹1,06,04,436. This revenue came from various sources over a 150-day collection period.

    The breakdown of the revenue is as follows:
    – Amma Vari Hundi (Goddess’ Hundi): ₹87,02,578
    – Swamy Vari Hundi (Lord’s Hundi): ₹18,63,642
    – Annadanam Satram Hundi (Charity Hall Hundi): ₹38,216

    In addition to cash contributions, the temple also received foreign currencies and precious metals. Foreign currencies included 17 US Dollars, 5 Australian Dollars, and 1000 Swedish Krona. The temple also collected 61 grams of mixed gold and 513 grams of mixed silver.

    Supervised Counting Process

    The counting process was carefully supervised by Assistant Commissioner of Endowments, Mahabubnagar, Mr. Madhaneshwar Reddy. Several key individuals participated in the event, including Temple Executive Officer Mr. Purender Kumar, Chairman Mr. B. Nageshwar Reddy, and trustees such as Jagan Mohan Naidu, Mrs. Naga Shiromani, and others. Deputy Chief Priest and Ex-Officio Member Mr. D. Anand Sharma, temple staff, villagers, and volunteers from Gadwal, Kothakota, Kurnool, and Hyderabad also took part in the activity.

    Comparison with Previous Revenue

    The temple’s reported revenue covers a period of 150 days. In comparison, an earlier collection over 110 days had brought in ₹58,66,623. This significant increase highlights the growing contributions and support from devotees.

    The Jogulamba Bala Brahmeshwara Swamy Temple continues to thrive as a center for spirituality and culture. It attracts devotees not only from the surrounding region but also from abroad, as reflected in the diverse contributions received.
