Khammam: The Telangana Union of Working Journalists (TUWJ – IJU) approached Nama Nageswara Rao, a former MP and trustee of Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital, to request medical support for journalists and their families.

The group highlighted the rising cases of cancer affecting journalists and their relatives, pointing out the financial strain of medical costs. They asked the hospital to honor health cards for journalists, providing free check-ups and affordable treatments.

Nama responded positively, promising to discuss the issue with the hospital management. He assured that efforts would be made to offer as much free or discounted care as possible to journalists and their families at the Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital.
