Nalgonda: A new Critical Care Unit was opened at the Government General Hospital (GGH) in Nalgonda. The unit, built at a cost of ₹23.75 crore, is equipped with advanced dialysis machines and high-tech monitoring systems. This new facility will help the hospital provide emergency care at all hours.
Speaking at the event, Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said that major surgeries like liver and kidney transplants are already being done at Gandhi and Osmania Hospitals. He also shared that the Rajiv Aarogyasri health scheme’s coverage has been increased to ₹10 lakh, which will help poor families access expensive treatments.
The minister also mentioned that the medical college in Nalgonda is growing, and the town is becoming known for its good public healthcare.
Later, the minister took part in a large job fair organized by the Nalgonda police. The fair offered jobs with starting salaries of ₹30,000. A total of 112 companies participated, offering 2,500 jobs. Around 4,000 young people registered for the event.
Minister Komatireddy praised the police for their efforts in helping youth find jobs and stay away from crime. Collector Ila Tripathi and Superintendent of Police Sharath Chandra Pawar also encouraged the youth to focus on building skills and using such opportunities well. The Prateek Foundation helped by providing meals to everyone at the event.
