Hyderabad: The South Central Railway (SCR) achieved a freight loading of 12.832 million tonnes (MTs) in May, marking a 3% increase from the previous year.
In May 2025, freight loading saw notable growth. This success was largely due to a boost in loading coal, iron ore, and cement. Coal loading reached 6.472 MTs, up from 6.280 MTs in May 2024. Cement loading increased to 3.306 MTs from 3.100 MTs the previous year. Iron ore loading was 0.732 MTs, compared to 0.570 MTs last May.
