Nizamabad – The Sneha Society for Rural Reconstruction held its 33rd annual general meeting on Sunday at Maruti Nagar. The event brought together members, supporters, and special guests to reflect on the Society’s ongoing work in helping people with disabilities.
Dr. Mahipal, the Society’s President, attended as the chief guest. He praised the organization for its 33 years of dedicated service in Nizamabad and nearby areas. He said Sneha Society acts like a caring mother to those with disabilities, offering support and empowerment in many ways.
According to Dr. Mahipal, students supported by the Society are excelling in various areas. He highlighted their achievements in computer training, sports competitions, and science fairs.
He also announced that the Society will celebrate its milestone 30 years of service with special Pearl Celebrations in July. These events will honor the journey and contributions of the organization.
Dr. Sabita Rani, Vice President of Sneha Society, was the guest of honor. She emphasized the importance of social awareness and compassion in running such an organization. She announced a personal donation of ₹1 lakh to support the Society’s work.
Dr. Rani requested that Siddaiah, the Society’s Secretary, use the funds to purchase wheelchairs and hearing aids for those in need.
Earlier during the meeting, Siddaiah presented the annual report. She shared details about the programs planned for 2024–25, the staffing needs, and the funds received. She also highlighted the group’s recent accomplishments.
To prepare for the upcoming Pearl Celebrations, members formed a special souvenir committee to help plan and organize the event.
The Sneha Society continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people with disabilities, offering hope, education, and support for a better future.
