Hyderabad: On Sunday, the BJP Telangana state president, N. Ramchander Rao, led a key meeting focused on upcoming local body elections.
Dr. Kasam Venkateswarlu, State General Secretary, announced that preparations for these elections are in full swing. Workshops covering 31 districts and 566 mandals have been completed, discussing both ZPTC and MPTC elections.
The BJP’s successful door-to-door initiative, “Gadapa Gadapaku Polling Booth President,” was reviewed. The program, part of the “Mahasampark Abhiyan,” aimed to connect with people and assess its reach.
From August 21 to 25, rallies in 566 mandals will highlight local issues, focusing on how the Congress and BRS governments have weakened local bodies. Petitions will be delivered to mandal MROs.
The rallies aim to inform villagers about challenges faced due to lack of funds, blaming the Congress and BRS for troubling gram panchayats. Following the mandal rallies, district center rallies will occur from the 26th to the 2nd of the next month, with petitions presented to district collectors.
A special “24-hour tour” program begins on August 21 and 22. The state president will spend 24 hours in a mandal in Rangareddy district, organizing meetings with youth, women, and former leaders.
State, national, and district leaders will participate in similar 24-hour stays across 566 mandals, excluding one. This initiative allows them to understand local issues and gather insights from potential candidates and community leaders.
After mandal and district rallies, N. Ramchandra Rao will kick off the program in Rangareddy on August 21st and 22nd. A social and mainstream media workshop will be held in Hyderabad on August 24th.
Meetings for women and youth will be organized at the MPTC level in each mandal, led by Mahila Morcha and Yuva Morcha. Additionally, meetings with SC, ST, and OBC activists are planned.
State leaders like Premender Reddy, Chandrashekhar Tiwari, Madhavi, Subhash, and Venkat Reddy participated in strategizing for the elections. They discussed legal issues, vote tallying, and removing fake votes.
The meeting aimed to finalize the election strategy. Special focus is given to the Jubilee Hills elections, with party MPs and leaders scheduled for 24-hour stays in mandals to reinforce their presence.
